Equivalent Modeling of Bolted Connections under Transverse Load Using Iwan-Based Material Properties

چکیده

The nonlinear characteristics of bolted connections are significant importance for analyzing the mechanical performance structures. Iwan model is well-known and has been widely applied; its limitation that it not convenient complex structures with multiple connections. To simplify modeling process, a material force-displacement proposed applied to connection region, which can convert nonlinearity into material. constitutive relation Iwan-based determined by equation under load elastic-plastic hypothesis. implemented using UMAT subroutine ABAQUS, properties assigned solid finite element an equivalent Through comparisons s imul ation results AIBE, feasibility method relationship original verified, through simulation experimental detailed 3D FE connection, universality verified. show well restore statics cyclic loading be combined more establishing flexibility in adjusting parameters than traditional methods.
